Why gutters matter to your roof
As a general rule, gutters catch the water coming off the roof and carry it away from the fascia, the siding and the foundation. When they are missing, undersized, or pulling away from the house, that water goes where it wants.
Common results of gutters that are not doing their job:

New gutters with a new roof
Most of our gutter work is done alongside a roof job. The roof edge, the fascia and the gutters all meet in the same few inches, and it makes sense to look at all three while the work is already happening.
If your gutters are old, sagging, or were damaged in the same storm that damaged your roof, we will tell you during the inspection. If they are in good shape, we will tell you that too.
You do not need new gutters just because you are getting a new roof.

Should I replace my gutters when I replace my roof?
Not always. It often makes sense, because the gutters, fascia and roof edge are all being looked at together. But if your gutters are in good shape, we will tell you so. The free inspection is where we sort that out, with photos of what we see.
What size gutters do I need?
It depends on the roof area, the pitch and how many downspouts the house has. We will recommend a size for your home during the inspection and explain why, rather than guessing from the ground.
Do you install gutter guards?
Guards can cut down on clogs from leaves and debris, but they are not right for every house. We will talk through the trade-offs on your home.
